Steve understands that whatever your current situation, financial concerns have an impact on your life and relationships. His passion is to help you make prudent financial decisions that will make the most of what you have now and help you build a more secure, enjoyable future.

Steve is a financial professional with a broad range of experience in helping both individuals and businesses. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).  He began his professional career in 1985, working at Ernst & Young, an international CPA firm, performing audit and tax work.  Following that he worked as the financial executive at a major international electronics company.

In 2002, Steve left the corporate world and founded ESI Financial Services, Inc (a Registered Investment Advisor firm).  He enjoys helping clients clarify and successfully navigate their unique financial and tax situations. He is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), the Alliance of Comprehensive Planners (ACP), and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).

Steve is a San Diego native and graduated with honors from San Diego State University with a BS in Accounting. He and his wife, Sharon, have four adult children. Outside the office, Steve is active in his church and spends time cheering on Aztec basketball and the Padres. He and Sharon enjoy golfing together and spending time with family and friends.

Office Manager

Sharon is the Office Manager for ESI Financial Services. She graduated from Westmont College with a Bachelors degree in Economics and Business. She took enough accounting classes to speak the language, which is helpful with four CPAs in the family!
