Steven K. Farrington, CPA, CFP®

Advisor

Steve understands that whatever your current situation, financial concerns have an impact on your life and relationships. His passion is to help you make prudent financial decisions that will make the most of what you have now and help you build a more secure, enjoyable future.

Steve is a financial professional with a broad range of experience in helping both individuals and businesses. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).  He began his professional career in 1985, working at Ernst & Young, an international CPA firm, performing audit and tax work.  Following that he worked as the financial executive at a major international electronics company.

In 2002, Steve left the corporate world and founded ESI Financial Services, Inc (a Registered Investment Advisor firm).  He enjoys working out of his home office helping clients clarify and successfully navigate their unique financial and tax situations. He is a member of the following organizations:  the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), the Alliance of Comprehensive Planners (ACP) and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).

Steve is a San Diego native and graduated with honors from San Diego State University with a BS in Accounting.  He is blessed to be married to his wife, Sharon, and has four adult children.  Outside the office, Steve has been actively involved as a coach and chairman of a school board, as well as serving in his local church.  In his free time he enjoys playing golf, running half-marathons with his kids and spending time with family and friends.

Sara Clark

Sara has been working for ESI Financial Services since 2010. She is a certified QuickBooks Pro-Advisor and is pursuing her Enrolled Agent License with the IRS. In addition to tax work, Sara also assists in bookkeeping, conducting research, compiling financial reports, and the compliance of 401(k) and other retirement plans.

 

Ben Schiwitz

Ben graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a BA in Business Administration. He is pursuing his Enrolled Agent License with the IRS and is currently a certified QuickBooks Pro-Advisor and a Notary Public. Ben is involved in bookkeeping, tax work, compliling financial reports and managing payroll.
